BTDT moms with more than 1...

If you had older kids when you were pregnant again, when did you tell them? My girls are 5.5 and 4 and I am not going to be able to keep this a secret for as long as I would like...I'm 7 weeks and I can tell I will be showing noticeably within a few weeks...

Well, my girls are 20 mos apart and DD#1 was 11 months when I found out about #2. She was the first person I told.

As for #3, the girls were 4.5 and almost 3 at the time. I had a miscarriage at 9.5 weeks the year before, so there was no way I was going to tell them before 12 weeks. If you look in my album, you will see me 12.5 weeks with my 3rd--I told them about a week after that. They were a bit younger than yours, but they were completely surprised; they didn't cop on at all before that. Our tech printed them out their own copies of the ultrascreen sono saying, "Hi K....!!", "Hi A...!!" and that's how we told them.

DS is 6 and DD is 3. We told them at 12 weeks. I wasn't showing but DS kept asking me questions because I was going to the doctor a lot and he remembered me going to this doctor when pg with DD. I had to be creative with my answers When we officially told them that I was pg, DS said "I already knew that mommy. You keep going to see Dr. H" Oh well The whole announcement just went over DD's head...we told them during dinner one night and she was just more concerned about when her shrimp roll was coming out of the microwave
