new job
I have a phone interview for a fee for service job which is flexible with hours. Should I be up front with them about being 14 weeks pregnant? Or wait to get hired first? it is an office with three women and I know the one who is interviewing me has a daughter. What do you think?

Re: new job
you do NOT need to disclose a pregnancy. though it is illegal for them to make a hiring decision based on pregnancy, they will.

new job
is this to replace a full time job? or is this a part time gig? if its a full time job, i would ask what their maternity policy is, but i wouldn't disclose it over the phone

new job
I would wait until you are hired, but I wouldn't take the job (unless you currently don't have a job) without confirming that you will still have a job after matenrity leave. You are only covered under FMLA if you have been at your job for a year before having the baby. GL!

Re: new job
I have a full time job I intend to keep, this is just a part time job to supplement my income. It would also allow me to make money while on maternity leave from my full time job, couple hours here and there. The good thing about it is the flexibility and the fact that they could make me full time down the road...(I HATE MY CURRENT JOB) so it's a good idea if they will hire me. I've decided not to tell them unless they hire me...then I will disclose. But since it is a part time gig, I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge deal!
Tanks for the advice!
