Braxton Hicks vs. Baby Moving
So this might be a dumb question but I am confused if what I am feeling are Braxton Hicks contractions or the baby moving.
On the way home tonight, I felt about 4 different times my abdomen tightening up and it was painful.
I'm 35 weeks 4 days.
Do you think this is just the baby moving and pushing on things or are these the practice contractions?
I feel like she has gotten lower and I feel pressure when I get up out of a chair, almost like I have to go to the bathroom but I don't.

With my last pg I felt exactly as you are saying. I would often wonder if it was just DD moving in a weird position or if it was BH. This pg the BH are much more obvious but feel similar to what I had questioned last time. I think last time what I was questioning were BH and from what you're describing it sounds to me like it could be, although my BH are not painful. I'd run it by your doctor concerning the painful part.

Re: Braxton Hicks vs. Baby Moving
i would think BH is when your whole abdomen tightens but when it's the baby moving it might just be tight right on the spot where she's moving. not sure though.

I really can't describe the difference but they are distictly different. They were probably BH.

Re: Braxton Hicks vs. Baby Moving
When I get BHs my entire uterus hardens - so you feel like the whole center of your stomach gets really hard. But it never hurts. It may be uncomfortable or strange, but not painful.
When it's the baby, it's more localized to a small part of my stomach.
