DIY baby shower favor - yay or nay?
i am learning towards an edible favor but am not sure what exactly to do. I dont want to do custom cookies (sugar chic etc bc our place allows us to bring in our own desserts so my aunt is going to bake cookie fresh cookies to be put out on each table)
I came across these and thought they were nice, but would end up making them myself since premade are too expensive for my budget.
do you think would look too much like a homemade project to give as a favor? or should i go for it?
if you dont think its a good idea please give some suggestions

I think its a good idea.... if it makes you feel better about it... my sister made jars of homemade apple sauce as my baby shower favors.
For my friend, we bough empty spice jars, filled them with cinnamon sticks we purchased in bulk and I had really cute labels made for the jars which said "sugar and spice and everything nice" and tied a ribbon on each. Everyone loved them!

I think it's super cute and I like it. A friend of mine gave something like this out as gift last Christmas. I admit I never made the cookies but it was such a cute idea and I loved it lol.

I LOVE this idea! This is exactly what I want to do for my shower. If you pour in the ingredients slowly, they will layer and not mix together. I've seen a spoon trick that works. Put a spoon on the top of the jar, rounded part up and slowly pour. This way it isn't a straight pour and will just fall on top of the bottom layer.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a homemade favor. And I'd prefer something like this, because I'd most likely use it!
