Can you recommend your thin warm coat for toddlers?
Both my boys are miserable wearing their puffy down coats. It is also a PAIN to buckle them in the car seats. Looking for something lightweight.

The Northface coats are not too puffy at all and are really warm.

Do you mean the parka?
DS has both the puffy down north face as well as the north face fleece.

DD has the puffy one, but I think it is so thin and comfortable. Anything thinner IMO wont be warm enough.

DS#1 didn't mind the North Face one. I just bought DS#1 a Ralph Lauren one and he HATES it.
DS#2 is wearing DS#1's old North Face one and also hates wearing it.

I looked at the RL one too and thought it was too puffy. The NF one works well for us.

I bought my first Lands End coat when I was pregnant with DS#2. It is the warmest coat ever.
I don't like the look of Lands End but being warm is more important.

oh be careful about buckling the kids into the seat with their coats! it is not safe. God forbid there is an accident, the harness will not be tight enough b.c it compensates for the extra space in the coat. i'll have to find that thread again. i always just take their coat off once in the car seat.
annoying but i worth it

Love the Columbia jackets. I bought one for both of my kids this year. They have a lot of features, and are very warm without being overly puffy.

This. DS has a Columbia jacket. Not too bulky/puffy and seems very warm.
