Island View Apartments
Has anyone ever lived here or know someone who does. I have been looking at apartments and this seems so cheap compared to the others.
Three Bedroom Two Bath
SQFT ** 1212
Starting At * $1554.00
Most 2 bedrooms are $1600 and up. I was just wondering if this sounds to good to be true?

They are located in Selden or Farmingville- right?
From what I have heard they are income based rental; you need to make below a certain income to qualify to live there; which is why they are cheaper than other complexes in the area...

I agree, is subsidized based on income. An old coworker used to live there.
You can have my apt in Fairfield when I move! Cheaper than that for 2 br!

Island View Apartments
It's not really subsidized housing, the management company just gets a property tax break for renting to people under a certain income bracket. My sister lives in one of their properties out of state. They are VERY picky about who lives in their units. No criminal records, bankruptcy, lots of references, and tons of paperwork.
