Vomiting Tantrums

My twins are almost 14 months old and they have been horrible sleepers since the hurricane. We had my parents stay with us due to damage in their apartment.

I used to put them in their cribs and it would be 5 minutes of crying and they would go to sleep. Now, I try to put them in their cribs and they start vomiting and choking. It's been crazy and really rough, because nobody is getting sleep, including my husband that has been working 7 days a week since the hurricane.

The only way they go to sleep now is I have to lay in bed with the both of them and they think it's play time for the first hour and then by 1030 they usually go to sleep and I put them down in their cribs and they wake up the entire night and if I let them cry themselves back to sleep. I'm scared they are going to vomit again. I'm at a lost. I need some help. Did anyone ever have experience with this and if so what did you do?

Re: Vomiting Tantrums

If you find the answer- please let me know.

My DD was a great sleeper until 15 months old when we went on vacation to California. I don't know if it was the time changes or sleeping in the same room as us- but when we got back I could no longer just put her in her crib. She was vomiting every night. I couldn't deal with cleaning it up.

She's now 2.5 and I still have to sit in her room until she falls asleep.

Good luck!! Chat Icon

My son went through a phase like that. If I let him cry more then 5 minutes he would puke..It was so traumatic that I gave in and let him sleep in my bed for a few nights. He was going through something and the dr said to not let him get so upset that he would end up being a nervous wreck.. They must be feeling insecure from the storm... Try putting them down earlier and see if you can get them back on a schedule. My son is just getting back on a schedule from the storm.
