Phase 2 modeling scout booth in Roosevelt field mall..experiences?!?!
I was stopped with my 3 kids...and my immediate reaction..was no no no and began to walk away like usual!
This happened once before about 3-4 yrs ago with a different company and we went to a place and we were told we would have to shell out all this $$ for pics...so of course we walked out of the place NOT interested!
So I told this lady...not interested...can't afford to shell out money bec I am a SAHM...blah blah blah...
She assured me at is not how they work...and there was no obligation...so they took photo-booth pics of my kids...and we left...
Well today I got a call to meet at their head quarters in Long Island City...
And again..I told the guy..I do NOT want/nor do I have the money to shell out a dime...and he assured me that there is no price..
So I figured it doesn't hurt to see what they have to offer...
Anyone do this? What am I in for? Is this another scam? Just want to be prepared!

Go to a legit agency in the city. Those places in te malls are not legit. My DS is with generations.

These people do say this to everyone.
The kid modeling field is a rough one. Google baby modeling. Do your research. A good friends kid won a contest. Had an amazingly beautiful kid. It was rough on her and her kid. She blogged about it. They gave up on it a half a year into it (they lived in manhattan... So she did go to lots of casting calls).

Yeah..I was googling phase 2 with an "s" and didn't really come up with anything - good or bad...
But when I googled Phaze 2 with a "z" - wow! lots of bad reviews!
I guess I am sticking to my mommy instinct and not look into it any further!

These people harass me every time they see my kids, seriously follow and harass. That alone makes me not want to deal w them. For the amount of work kid modeling is, its not worth the money. I would make sure you do not have to shell out money before you go.

I probably asked the girl in the mall 5 times..and another 5-10 times to the guy on the phone...and they both assured me each and every time..that I would not...and everything I read on line says they ask for $$ 
Usually..if it sounds too good to true.... .... ....

Thanks for the heads up... Well be going to the mall this weekend and now at least I can prepare myself for the harassment

I actually stopped going to Roosevelt Field Mall because of theses people harassing me every time I went. I would even try to avoid them, but somehow would wind up right in front of one, because they stand right by the elevator. I gave them my number once just to shut them up and they call at least once a week now. It's very frustrating. I don't know why the mall allows this.
