This morning I went to BBB to look at the SodaStream. I ended up buying a Cuisinart soda maker instead (same price, and i liked the design better).
Just now, out of curiosity, i decided to look at reviews online. I cannot find ONE review of the Cuisinart one! (And Sodastream gets really good reviews.) Apparently Cuisinart only started making them like 2 weeks ago, so there's not much out there about them.
I figured it was a long shot, but wanted to see if anyone on here had a Cuisinart soda maker. i'm more familiar with the Cuisinart brand, but maybe for soda, i should stick to the sodastream. Wondering if i should exchange mine now.

can't help on the cuisinart version, but i've had a sodastream for over a year now. i live on that thing. i haven't bought a bottle of soda for myself since i got it. and i absolutely adore the diet pink grapefruit soda. although you can use any flavoring, i also like the berry pomengranite from MIO.

I don't know about the Cuisinart one but check to see if you can exchange the CO2 cartridge at a local store when it runs out. I think that's a great thing about the sodastream. We recently ran out of CO2 so DH ran over to Kohl's and got an exchange cartridge for half the price of buying a new one. We can also go to BBB or a few other stores for an exchange.

Thanks for the info! I'm leaning towards exchanging mine for the sodastream. Seems like everyone is happy with it. And this CO2 cartridge exchange sounds great. Thanks!

By any chance has anyone used the Cuisinart brand one yet? I went out to get a sodastream for DH's birthday and all they had left was Cuisinart so I bought it.
Does anyone know if they sell the CO2 refills at a discount if you trade in the old ones?
Thanks so much!

I THINK they do the discount if you trade in the old one - but i'm not 100% sure.
BTW i ended up exchanging my Cuisinart for the Sodastream since i couldn't find any reviews on the Cuisinart. I never actually opened it though so i can't comment on how it works. I'm sure it's fine, it's a good brand!
