NT Scan at 11 weeks 5 days
My name is Jaime,I'm kinda new here, Ive been watching the chat form afraid to say anything because I believed it was too soon. But I have a question I want to ask you girls, I'm going for my NT scan tomorrow and I was told by several people I should wait. We decided to go tomorrow because were telling our families on thanksgiving seeing that Friday we will be 12 weeks and want to make sure everything is ok before we tell them. Should I reschedule the appt? is it too soon?

I think I was 11 weeks 6 days.. Im pretty sure they wouldnt schedule the appt early if they thought you should wait.. Im sure it will be fine:) Its a fun appt!! You get to see the baby for awhile when they take the measurements.. its very exciting and emotional!Good Luck hope all goes well and welcome to the board:)

I was 11w6d. the dr wouldnt have scheduled you for it then if they wouldnt be able to do it. Gooc luck!!

I wouldn't reschedule, you should be fine!
eta: At my 12 week, I went exactly at 12 weeks, and baby was measuring 12w 3days, so, again, your baby could be measuring ahead bringing you to the 12 weeks.

your Dr wouldn't have scheduled it for you if he thought it would be too soon. Either way, like pp said, your baby could be measuring behind or ahead, so you never know. I would keep the appointment.

I just got back from my first appointment and receive a pamphlet about the NT Scan. It says it should be done between 11wks 1 day and 13wks 6days. So you are perfectly fine with going tomorrow. GL!

Thanks! I'm just so nervous, the last 6 weeks havent been that easy and tired of close friends & immediate family telling me what i HAVE to do... LOL.. Im glad that I have you girls! Kinda feels like my wedding all over again LOL

I'm going for mine at 11 weeks 3 days. I asked the nurse practitioner several times if it was too soon, and they assured me it wasn't.

You can have the NT scan done any time between 11w and 13w6d. You're fine!
