August 2012 mommies check in!
Hi ladies!!
Just checking in to say hi and see how our babies are doing!
DD (8/4/12) is 3.5months old, 14.5lbs, 25.5 inches long! She rolls over belly to back AND back to belly already! She loves to babble and loves to be sung to. She reaches for toys, smiles, laughs (the best sound). She is starting to balance sitting up!! She thinks her big sister is so funny  and when she stares at the dog, she gets the most confused look on her face  She's mastered pulling my hair and big sister's hair too 
She nurses every 3-3.5 hours during the day, STTN 10-11hours straight. Naps are about 35mins- 45mins long  with a random 1hour -2 hour nap here or there.
Going to breaking out the exersaucer soon soon. Where is the time going?

YAY! So excited to see an August 2012 thread.
The time really is going SO fast.
DD (8/11/12) is short and chubby! She is about 14 weeks old, 13 pounds and only 22 inches. She does not roll over yet, but she is very vocal and practically sits up already. She does not laugh (when is that going to happen?) but loves kicking and grabbing all of her toys.
I still nurse her 8-10 times a day. About every 2 hours during the day. She sleeps only 6-8 hours straight at night. How/when did you get your LO to sleep 10-11 straight without waking for food? We have no nap schedule, it varies every day. I need a routine.
I think I need to give her more stomach and back time. She doesn't tolerate it well because she has been sleeping/napping in the swing or car seat since we took her home from the hospital. I think its time to transition but it's sooo hard.

Even though I gave birth on 7/31 I'll always be a August mom.lol
At 12 weeks she weighed 11pounds 8oz 23 inches long. 50th percentile. Her head circumference was 41. 95percentile. shocker.lol
Today she is 16 weeks old. She is such a ham. This past Sunday was the first time she lauged and man was it CUTE. She talks soooooooooooo much. She doesn't turn over. She hates tummy time  but it has to be done so she can get her exercise. She started daycare last week. Which I hate because I miss her so much but I'm very happy where she is. I still nurse her. On the weekdays its at 6:30am 6:30pm and 8:30pm which is her bed time. On most days she will sleep through the night. Maybe once or twice a week she will wake up at 3am or 4am but once I nurse her she falls right back asleep. At daycare she has 15oz of bm. I also pump at work 3 times a day and twice at home. She really is a great baby!!! I LOVE HER TO DEATH. Image Attachment(s):

OMG-- Your DD is GORGEOUS! Love that photo.
She goes to bed around 8:30 pm you said, but how long does she sleep straight? When does she wake up - 6:30? this is about what my dd does, so I was just wondering.

I ended up becoming a September mommy. DD was a week late! She is doing great. 2.5 months old, babbles all day, sleeps really well (most nights she STTN) and at her 2 month visit was 11 lbs 3 oz and 23" long. She is such a ham

On most nights she sleeps 10 hours straight. 830pm bedtime. wakes up at 630am. give or take a few minutes

Roz, she is so cute!
DS (8/14/12) is a big boy weighing in at 17lbs. He wears 6-9 mo clothing and is onto to size 3 diapers. He goes to bed at 8:30 and will wake up at 3 or 4 am to feed. Then up again at 6:30, which is our normal wake time. He never sleeps that well in the crip b/c he startles himself but also hates to be swaddled and he's so big for it.
He is a really good baby and super lovey. He can sit up a little, he does not roll over yet and is not a fan of tummy time. He is so big I feel he will do a lot of these things later on.
He eats 5-6oz every 3-3.5 hours. LOVES to eat Image Attachment(s):

So nice to hear how all the august babies are doing!!
My DS is 12 weeks old today. He weighed 12lbs 5oz and 22 inches at 10 weeks. He started laughing 2 weeks ago, but he doesn't do it often. He has to e really entertained to get a giggle out of him! But he smiles and coos a lot. He just started reaching for his toys on his mat and also hates tummy time!! Seems like all babies do.
This week he's been sleeping 9pm-7:45am. He's always been a good sleeper thank god!! He naps pretty often through the day. Usually 2-3 one hour or so cat naps and one longer nap of 2-3 hours.
DS also eats 5-6oz every 3-4 hours

Thanks for the advice. DD is such a fatty, I know she could go longer without food... but sometimes it seems like the only thing she actually wants/needs. for the past month at least, I've been trying to make it only 8 feedings per day, (every 3 hours), but she still manages to get her 10 feedings in there. She is still only doing 6 to 8 hours at night before she wakes up hungry... but now she is doing a second stretch of sleep for 3-4 hours after that. I am going to try to stretch her feedings out from now on. I need to get stronger and just offer her food when I am ready to feed her rather than on demand.

DS is 3.5 months old and 13 lbs 13 ounces! He's doing great most nights about 9-530/6 so i can't really complain! He's eating every 4 hours.. about 5 ounces. I can't wait for him to have some cereal!

August mommy here!
I got AF on the day my DS turned 3 months! I thought that seemed like a really long time. I only pumped for 1.5 months.
My DS actually doesnt mind tummy time and has rolled over a few times. He smiles a lot and can grab toys.
He goes to bed anywhere between 9 - 11 and will wake up between 4-6 but if its 4 he goes back to bed which is nice!

I'm still bf and pump. I got af this past Sunday 11/18. Two days before dd turned 16weeks.
On 11/21 the day after I said she couldn't turn over SHE DID FOR THE FIRST TIME! It was so great to see her do that. Glad her daddy was there to witness it with me

Another August mommy here...DD is 3.5 months and weighs 13 lbs 9 ozs and is 24 in at last ckup. She can almost roll over lol gets 3/4 of the way and kicks to get over but ends up on her back agin lol! Its so cute to watch her try. Shes chuckling now and its the most adorable sound. Shes also trying really hard to pull herself up to a sitting position when we hold her in our arms...i keep thinking she wants to just get up and walk around! Shes a good eater and has 5ozs every 3 hrs. Shes been sttn since 5wks and sleeps 7-5am, chugs down a bottle and then sleeps till sbout 8. We'll be starting solids next month. Time definitely goes faster w your 2nd!
