Which would you pick?
DH have finally started making moves on our anthropomorphic renovation. We bought a lot of stuff ver the weekend- vanity, vanity top, mirror, faucet, sconces, chandelier, toilet, rainfall shower system, and most important, our tile for the shower wall. We're using the tile on the backwall of the showers, which is what you see when you enter the bathroom. I already sent close to $700 on the mosaic. It's a mix of white thassos, Carrara and a gray marble. Now here's the question... Do I splurge and use 4x6 white thassos on the side walls of the shower? They would be over $900. Or do I use a glossy white 4x6 subway on the side walls? We actually found one we like in Lowes and it woud only be a little over $200. I think the thassos will be beautiful, but it's also a lot more maintenance. Plus we're talking about a $700 difference. On one hand, $700 is not that big of a deal when you're looking at the big picture. On the flip side, maybe that $700 could buy the floor tile.
This is the tile we already bought and the look we're going for...

get the subway tile. the mosiac will be the piece where your eye goes, anyway. the subway tile is a nice compliment to the carrera and i think it will look great. spend a littel of that $700 you ssaved on luxury bath linens and put the rest in the bank :)
