Re: Gd and Chinese food

Oh boy... chinese food was THE HARDEST thing for me. I'd stick with something like chicken/shrimp and broccoli/other veggies in a clear sauce or steamed. STAY AWAY from noodles. Chat Icon

Steamed chicken w broccoli, sauce on the side, and use the sauce sparingly.

I think moo shu is also not terrible for you, but stay away from the pancakes.

Gd and Chinese food

I would go with the steamed chicken and broccoli with the brown sauce on the side- I might just get that tonight.

Re: Gd and Chinese food

Thanks! The place I went had some low carb meals so I got grilled shrimp and veggies (greens) with brown sauce on the side. My sugar was fine! I was even able to sneak in a few bites of the good stuff !!!!

Re: Gd and Chinese food

I was told that Chinese food is the worst for GD. Even if you think you're eating right, your blood sugar spikes. We went for Japanese food once or twice after I had to monitor my blood sugar and my numbers were by far the highest readings after those meals.
