Preggo w/ #2 & still BF?

Anyone do this? How long into your pregnancy did you BF your older one? Anyone BF a toddler and infant at the same time? What your OBGYN say about it's safety for you and the fetus/newborn?

I'm not preggo yet (that I know of), but curious.

I was still nursing my twins when I found out I was pregnant. They were almost 10 months at that point and I nursed them till their first birthday. No issues!

I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with #2 and still BF 19 mo old DD. From what I read, I feel safe doing it BUT my OB told me to stop BF. My perinateologist told me it was ok if it's just occasional. I would like DD to be done BF but I also want her to self wean and she doesn't seem anywhere near that. I am not looking forward to BF two babies, that's for sure. I don't think I'm even really making BM (maybe a few drops is all) at this point but DD doesn't even care, it's really a comfort thing. Ugh!

I continued to nurse DS until I was about 28-weeks pregnant. He was slowly weaning because my milk was drying up. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of tandem nursing, but I had accepted if that's what DS needed - I was going to give it a go. But he hasn't asked to nurse in a few weeks. We talk about the baby coming and the baby needing to nurse (he's 2.5) but he no longer talks about sharing. He was an avid night nurser, so I'm thrilled to actually sleep! And it's also nice to cuddle on the couch without him asking to nurse.

I know that many doctors say it is fine, but my ob suggested that I stop when I found out I was pregnant. DD was 15 months. She actually self weaned at the same time, so it worked out.

I am 10 weeks and have a 20 month old I am still BFing. I def don't have it in my to BF two though my step-sister did. I am trying to cut down for DS but he is a super addict, hoping he self weans at some point otherwise plan is to really try to do it 3 months before our DD so I can have a little time without someone attached to me and so DS won't associate stopping with the new kid.

Not to me...but my SIL was just 6 months PP with my niece when she learned that she was 10 weeks along with my now nephew!

I bf my DD until she was 18 months and I was about 15 weeks. It was just too exhausting to me, and she relied on it too much to go to sleep and I needed sleep myself. I weened her then, and she was totally fine!
