I started a little early because I did it mostly online, once the 20 week scan came and we went to the store to confirm certain things

I started online for some gender neutral things. Then after the sex was confirmed I started in store at like 17 weeks.

Re: baby Registry
We actually started at 15 weeks. We have to do my shower early because of my busy season at work and the holidays. After my 20 week sono we went back to finish it. My shower invitations went out a couple days after the sono, so I wanted to have it pretty much done by the time they were mailed.

At 17-18 weeks, I think a lot of people wait until the know the gender.

We started at 20 weeks and were also team . Since we got most things gender neutral, things like the boppy seat we did get blue, the bumbo seat blue etc...because you can put a girl in blue, but it's a little harder to put a boy in pink. We still have all of our items from our first DC 4 yrs ago and whether boy or girl, the baby will use them just fine. In fact, after DD was born, I put her in some of DS's old pajamas. She didn't know the difference.
When registering, if you have to choose between pink and blue, choose blue. You will also get a lot of gender appropriate colored things once the baby is born such as clothes as gifts. One other suggestion is do not buy a neutral bedding set. Have one girl set and one boy set picked out so that after the child is born, you can get the one you want! You have time to set things up after the baby is born since they are usually in a bassinet. So don't worry!!

I'm team and like i posted above; i registered at 18 weeks. I knew I didn't want to find out so everything was gender neautral. Plus I knew I didn't want something that looked too girly or too boyish; since we plan to have our 2nd LO in the next 2 years.

ITA!! I feel like a boy can go in blue/green as can a girl. But you wouldn't sit a boy in a pink seat. same in my opinion for swings/other baby items.
