Nursery furniture recommendations

I've been looking around... and of course I really love Pottery Barn Kids, but I'm not sure if I can justify spending so much on nursery furniture (esp. since DH and I don't have a real set).

Anyway, for those of you who have already purchased or started looking, can you please recommend the set your purchased. I'd really like a convertible crib.

Thanks!

Nursery furniture recommendations

We couldn't justify spending $1000 on nursery furniture so we didn't go with a set. We found a crib that we loved and worked from there. We looked at non baby furniture stores because they were cheaper. Once it has a baby name on it it's doubled. We ended up going to ikea and funding everything we needed from there for a fraction of the cost.

My DD's furniture set is Stanley Young America. It's beautiful and built so well. After 4 yrs it looks brand new. VERY happy with it.

I know BBB sells it but we got lucky and were able to order it through Direct Buy (a friend of ours has a membership) so we saved a lot on it.

Be bought the Torino by Sorelle from BBB. It is a set, but it's meant to last beyond just the baby years. I'd rather spend more than have to replace it in a year or 2.

We bought the Davenport set from Baby Appleseed. It wasn't ridiculously expensive, considering. about $3K for everything, but the bed converts to a full size and it will be her furniture forever, so like pp said, i would rather spend the money now than have to spend it all over again down the line.

Same here. We only got the crib and the dresser but the crib converts to a toddler bed and then a full size bed. He'll be using it until he's at least 18.

Young America through Lauters in PA no tax, cheaper than Behr's and free delivery. Young America is made in the US, it's real wood, and the paints and stains are earth friendly. It's built so well we don't plan on buying another set ever for him.

We went with Romina because they will have it forever ... I spent a lot but I think in the long run it will pay off because we wont have to buy new furniture down the line.
