Is there a treatment to make hair thicker?

I have fine hair and I want it to be thicker. Is there a salon treatment that does that?

Re: Is there a treatment to make hair thicker?

Not really...you can get extensions which are $$$ most of the time and a lot of maintenance...

There are different products you can use in your hair to thicken it a bit..I've tried them all and honestly not much helps right now. Toppik hair fattener has helped the most...a little goes a long way ..sally beauty supply sells it I know. I've tried every serum, mousse etc...and this one is my favorite. Some people say hair skin and nail vitamins help, but they take bit to see results. Also, vitamins may help hair length but usually won't affect fullness since thickness is based on the size of the follicle. If your hair follicles are naturally small, they won't get bigger.

Pantene just came out with something that is getting great reviews- but I can't find it - seems to be sold out everywhere.

Re: Is there a treatment to make hair thicker?

Wanted to add, the ONLY time my hair got thicker, like noticeable thicker, was when I was pregnant.
I thought it was the prenatals but it wasn't- because I took them even after I gave birth and my hair went back to being horrible.
It's the hormones- they make you hold onto more hair than normal so your hair is great...until you give birth and you start to shed all that hair you held onto for 9 months!

So as much as I was a mess while pregnant with the swelling, and feeling hideous- I do admit, my hair was better!

I tried everything- nothing worked

I have extensions for the last year- they are worth every penny- the ones I have don't damage your hair and I don't live at the salon! I love it
