i just saw this too. i have boulevard 70. i have no idea if its the same.
is there a difference between 70 and 70-g3??

i'm not sure, but it said carseats made from june to august of this year. so if you bought it before then, i guess you're ok.

Do I really need those things? cant i just cut them off without disassembling the whole damn thing?

Friggen a!! I just bought this stupid thing and at full price which is rare for me but ds hated the infant seat and driving with him made me want to drive into a wall. Ugh! Do what happens now, I'm out almost $300?

No, only those rubber things that are on the shoulder harness are recalled. They will send you new ones. Unfortunately, according to their instructional video, you need to disassembly the shoulder harness to get them off/put them on. If I am going to do it, i'm only going to do it once, so tomorrow morning, I will go out there with a pair of my kitchen shears and cut them off. I figure if they're soft enough for a child to chew through them (hence the recall), then it should be easy enough for me to cut the rubber off. When they send me new ones I'll consider putting them on.
