Houses in Contract

Is there a site that I can see if a house I want to look at is in contract or not? It seems like so many of the houses are in contract, I really wish they showed it online

Houses in Contract

Try Redfin.com. When I was in contract for my house, it didn't show up as being In Contract for nearly a month.

Go to www.redfin.com. If you type in an address it will say "under contract" or "pending" if it is in contract. You can also see all the homes in a particular area that are under contract. Search for the area and then refine your search by choosing "under contract" as status. HTH!

Just keep in mind that a house doesn't show as "under contract" or "pending contract" until it is fully in contract (meaning both parties have signed the contract).

If there is an accepted offer - - even if the contract is half signed -- it will still show as available. Your real estate agent will find out the status when they call to inquire or set up an appointment.

It can be frustrating to buyers, because a house may show as available when it isn't truly available.

Re: Houses in Contract

I can't even count the number of houses I've found online and really wanted to go look at, only to find out they are already in contract. SO VERY FRUSTRATING!! I understand not wanting to take the listing down until there is an executed contract, but couldn't they at least note at the top of the listing that there is an accepted offer or something???
