I canbt say for sure, but it does not sound unreasonable.

Would you mind FM the company. I am looking for someone and depending on the size it may be a reasonable price.

My husband is a contractor...if you tell me the size, I'll ask him if the price is fair once he gets home.

thanks all, not sure of the square footage but if i had to guess i would say probably about 10 shingles or so. i think at this point its my only option as many places i called are not taking on small jobs.. oh well.

I asked my DH and he said they are ripping you off. 10 shingles are easy enough to either do yourself or his suggestion was a handyman. He said it would take him half an hour tops and wouldnt charge more then $100 if even that.

My husband thinks its a little on the high side (a bundle of shingles is about $40 and the labor would be probably about $200), but he said if the repair involves tar papering a spot or any other repairs, it would be more than just that. He says its probably worth it if you can get him to come and do it quickly, since so many companies have more work than they can do.

dh is a roofer specializing in leak repairs he says 250-300 is a fair price, so 350 isnt so off, esp now

I recently paid $1k for a new roof on our shed/garage. It was ~400 sq ft of new shingles plus tar paper underneath.

My father and husband put up the shingles themselves, that were blown away by Sandy. It was a lot cheaper than paying someone to do it. $4 for the roof nails. We already had new shingles left by the previous owner of our house.

We were just quoted $700 for a 10 x 10 foot area (OP's DH company---www.roofservices.com) We are going to call a few more places and get some more quotes.
