I PASSED
I got my results back from my 1 hour test (I just drank it at noon!!) and my level was 115. Not sure what normal is, but she said its fine.
I do have low iron. I'm already taking 90mgs...and now I have to take more. Jeez...is low iron anything to be concerned about?

Re: I PASSED
WOW your office is FAST! Congrats on passing
Jodi -- I was told I had low iron after my glucose test and I have since learned how common it is in pregnancy.
In MY case, it has gotten progressively worse recently - I have what they call a more severe case of anemia. The doctor tells me its not a huge concern but in my situation they increased my iron intake to 3x a day, I'm not sure how many milligrams exactly... I think I'm up to around 150mg. The worst 'side affect' is that the iron supplements give me MAJOR tummy issues, but again that might just be because I'm on a high dosage.
Please dont let my scenario worry you though!! As I said I have a rather extreme situation... overall most ladies with low iron are perfectly ok once they take the supplements

Thanks everyone! They are fast!!
Thanks Flee!! I get 90mgs of iron from my prenatal and she said to go to the drugstore buy an iron supplement and take it once a day. I have no idea what that will bring me up to. I always had tummy issues, but since the prenatal I've been normalized...I guess my body likes the iron...we'll see what happens with the increase!!!

Re: I PASSED
I had the same issue and now take 2 iron pills with my prenatal. i go to the Dr. tomorrow so I will see if they test my iron levels to see if they've improved. Not only do I take the extra pills, but I eat red meat 1-3 times a week and I eat leafy greens pretty regularly too.

That's great news you passed!
I found out I was anemic at mine too and the iron has been making me nauseous - and I think tummy issues as well (at least that's when it started). I hope you don't have the same issues!!! My doc told me to get the Slow FE so maybe they're worse, or better not sure- what did your doc recommend?
