Coffee

My sister had a cup or two daily. Her boys are genius super stars... I'm not having any coffee because I feel like I can go without it and it's not necessary for me. I'm also a super paranoid pregnant lady!

Coffee

My doctor said less than 200mg of caffeine per day. I was never a coffee drinker but I was a huge soda junky... but now other than the occasional iced tea I just cut out all other caffeine.

Coffee

My Dr said no more then 300 mg of coffee per day. You can look up general caffine amounts online. I typically have one cup a morning and then one or two other caffinated drinks throughout the day and night.

Coffee

I've heard 1-2 8oz. cups. I drink 1 cup a day and then I switch to decaf.

Re: Coffee

I have a cup a day and no one in my practice expressed any concerns. I wouldn't have triple shots of espresso, but a cup or two a day is fine when you're pg and nursing.

Re: Coffee

I am not a soda drinker and never have been so my caffeine was limited. I had a cup of coffee a day which was okay'd by my doc. This was all I ever drank anyway.

I haven't had a cup of coffee in 6 months. They say 1 cup is safe, and decaf is safer, but in my 1st tri I didn't want to risk it and I was often too nauseous to crave it anyway. Now I've come this far I think it'll be more exciting to wait until after the baby is born to have coffee again.
