Anti-inflammatory
I know I can look this up - but just a quick question, what anti-inflammatory can I take? My leg is driving me crazy! Tylenol? Aleve?

Anti-inflammatory
NO ADVIL, NO ALEVE!! Tylenol only!! Personally I take one extra strength and give it an hour or two to work. It usually does, but if not I'll take another one. (This is if my back is hurting or I have a headache)

Re: Anti-inflammatory
As far as I know you can't take any anti-inflammatory. Yes, Tylenol is ok but it's also not an anti-inflammatory. I would call your doctor and find of what is ok to take. I know ibuprofen (Motrin) is definitely not allowed and I would imagine Alleve definitely isn't either. I would drink water and elevate your feet in the meantime.
eta- I thought your post was about swelling in your legs. Never mind the water and elevation part!

Re: Anti-inflammatory
Thank you - I have an appt on Friday, so I was hoping to make it until then. I think I must have aggravated the nerve during a class with my son yesterday. I'm at work - just need to survive the day :(

This! Last week I had a severely swollen and painful finger, and I eventually wound upin the emergency room. They wanted to rule out infection, and once they did that, there was basically nothing they could do without potentially harming the baby.
I was told I could take Tylenol to help with the pain, but it wouldn't help with the swelling. Anti-inflammatories are not safe for a fetus. The only thing they did for me is immobilize my finger. And then sent me home to elevate it and ice it often. 12 days later it's almost all better.
Hope you feel better soon!
