1st IUI
I will be doing my first IUI this month... and I'm just wondering if it is possible to work the first month. I asked the nurse at LIIVF and she said depending on the problem, but most people do more than one...
Has anyone gotten pregnant from there 1st IUI?
I'm trying to stay optimistic but thats hard when she tells me that...

Anything is possible...there are plenty of women that do but dont get discouraged if you dont...its all luck & timing

It's possible, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right protocol. I got pg on my 3rd IUI.
It's not so bad if you have to try it a few times b/c as soon as you find out if it didn't work, you're already on the next month and trying again!

It's just as likely to work on your first as on your third. With an IUI, the chance per cycle (depending on your issues) is AT BEST like 28% ... but if EACH CYCLE you have that same chance, then you have as good a chance as any each cycle for it to work, but statistically if you do it enough it should work- if it's going to work at all. Hope that makes sense.. Good luck!
eta: the chances are approx. 28% depending on your issues.. obviously people have different things they're dealing with that would make the chances go down to even 0%..

Absolutely! In fact, i got pregnant on my 1st Clomid/Trigger/IUI with my DS, and just a month ago on my 1st round I got pregnant with my current pregnancy and i'm 6 weeks now.
I could not believe when it worked on the 1st try again!

I got pregnant on my first clomid iui cycle with my now two year old! This cycle is taking a little longer so I do believe it is all timing and luck!
