We did. Different shade of beige, but still beige. I'm not worried about what the neighbors have. We liked this color for our house, so that's what we got.

it depends. we were initially deciding between two colors but one color is very popular on our street and about 4-5 nearby houses were done in that color. we ultimately went with the other color to be a little different, even though the house diagonally across from us is a similar color. the style and look of the house is different though.
it wouldnt stop me from getting something i loved, but since we were on the fence anyway it helped us make our decision.

We did but it is a shade or 2 different from the neighbors and we have a different accent color

If I wanted beige siding, I wouldn't NOT get it because the neighbors have it. But if it wasn't my first choice, I wouldn't get it just to coordinate with the neighbors.
Basically, I would just pick what YOU like. Siding is a big investment and really factors hugely into the curb appeal of your house.
Also, if you base your choice around what your neighbors have, you may be surprised if THEY decide to get new siding, or decide to sell to someone who wants to change the siding.

You're all right, plus we are doing a different type of siding, and adding stone to accent! I am sticking with my love of beige!

This. Our house is a totally different style than our neighbor's and we paired it with black shutters (they just have white trim around windows), so I feel like it looks totally different anyway.
