Was in the ER last night, but all is well

Im an RN in a hospital in the city, where my ob happens to be as well. At 6pm last night when i was in the bathroom, i wiped and had some blood, no cramping, or no clots just blood. Given what i had happened already i thought it was good to get checked out, but my dr was closed already, had to go to the ER, well what started out what i thought was going to be quick b/c the triage nurse said we are going to hook up our coworker ended as a 7 hour ordeal. I never had the bleeding again, only the one time when i wiped, they did an internal, cervix was closed not blood, just old blood which i don't know what that could be from. Did a soon, LO was totally fine, HB was strong. I made a conscious decision last night that if it happens again, I'm going to wait it out, and talk to my Dr the next day, and just wait to see her. Thank god, all was well, but this is very nerve racking, and my UTI didn't go away so back on antibiotics.

Glad everything turned out to be okay! Were you straining from a BM at all? I ask because that's what happened to me a few times early on. My Dr said I had a sensitive cervix. Sorry you still have a UTI though.

Same thing happend to me at 16 weeks and it was old blood .. it hasnt happened again since so hopefully you wont have to go through that again but I know how scary it is and can relate to how you feel ...glad everything is ok!

thanks! this first leg of the pregnancy has been quit the marathon lol, i hope it slows down now
