period like cramps
So tonight I was coaching when I started feeling a little dizzy and had period like cramps. I got a little nervous so I skated off the ice to the bathroom. No blood but the cramps have continued... should I be worried?
ETA: I am only 8.5 weeks.

Re: period like cramps
I had so much cramping with both my sons...it was on and off, but it felt just like period cramps at times. Drinking more water def helped as well as tylenol!

Re: period like cramps
I would probably also try to rest.
It's good that there is no blood, but putting your feet up for a bit won't hurt.
Water too - muscles cramp up if they are dehydrated and you need a lot more water when pregnant than non pregnant.
Cramping can also be caused by low potassium in the blood, one of my friends had to take an extra supplement due to this - everything was fine with the baby and she felt much better on the meds.

Re: period like cramps
Thanks ladies, if water could be the culprit then I'm betting on that. I was just talking to my friend about my lack of water intake and dehydration. Its weird because I used to be so good with water before pregnancy, now it feels like a chore!
And about the rest, I could definitely use that! I'm planning on a very low key weekend so that should help!!!
Thanks again for making feel better. All of the suggestions are easy fore to control! Now I'm off to work were I promise to drink a lot of water!!!!
