Did you start to feel more at ease? I'm 11w1d right now and i've felt "scared" the whole time. I have my 12 week appt on Monday and i'm hoping that feeling will finally be at ease after seeing that hopefully everythings okay.

Yes; it made me much more at ease knowing the baby was ok! I felt by then we were pretty much out of the 1st trimester and we had a lower risk for m/c or anything so that whole time period was very good to get through and know the pregnancy was progressing. I also felt ome relief since I didn't feel comfortable telling extended family/work/friends we were expecting until we had our 12 week u/s and we knew everything we ok.

Had my 12 appt today and it actually made me less at ease . The tech had the personality of a dead fish and made me leave feeling uneasy even though she said everything looked good . I wish I would have just rejected the scan because now I'm analyzing every inch of the sono pics from thickness of neck fold to facial structure . I was never this nervous with DD 1 . My advice is to ask a lot of questions so you get the reassurance you are looking for . Good luck and sorry my response turned into a mini rant.

To be honest not at all... and keep in mind this is just my opinion and experience... I kept getting sh*tty test results back so I spent weeks 12 through 17 with my stomach in knots. After we got our final set of results back and everything was OK I felt a little better. After that I felt a little more at ease at the half way mark but I probably won't fully feel at ease until I hit the point of viability. It has to be very different for everyone!! Chat Icon

Sorry you had a bad experience.Chat Icon

I'm definitely going to come prepared with questions b/c I haven't really had an appointment with my OB where we sat down and talked about the pregnancy yet. So far, it was just a sono at 9 weeks and thats it!

For me, passing each hurdle makes me feel more at ease. So each u/s made me feel better.

Now, just feeling my Chat Icon moving and kicking every day puts me at ease.
