oh, and if you still use old pieces, i'd love to know where its from....i cant stand pieces that fall apart after 1 season!

i'll start. i still have (and use!) a pair of pants that i bought from NY&Co when i had to go to a conference during college (~2002).
aside from being a little tighter from my college days, i cant believe how well the fabric has held up. there are no signs of wear!

i have coach shoes that are approaching ten years old that are still in good condition-and they're classic so they haven't gone out of style
i gained weight then lost weight in college, and gave away my favorite paper denim cloth jeans, which was VERY sad, but they were still going strong even though i had them for about 4 years and wore them constantly
express work pants last for years and years, and i have dresses from bcbg that i've had for 5 plus years that are still in nice condition

This is probably not what you are thinking of, but I have a pair of boxer shorts from the 6th and 7th grade (almost 20 years ago!) that I wear as pajama bottoms, lol!

I have tour shirts from concerts that I still wear that are over 15 years old.
Cranberries/Toad The Wet Sprocket at Jones Beach, 1995 anyone? 
I also have some old tee shirts from concerts my mom went to in the '70's. :)

Some blouses from Elisabeth (Liz Claiborne plus line) that are about 10
years old.
Sigrid Olsen quilted jacket, 9 years
My rain/winter coat (Gallery), 12 years old.
2 pair Jones NY trousers for work, going on 4 years.
INC usually holds up pretty well too.
For work I wear more classic styles because I work in boring corporate. There's no one here to impress with fashionable style.

My cashmere sweaters have held up well...some of them are 10 years old.
I have a pair of short khaki shorts from old navy that i bought in 1998 that I still wear. They didn't fit me at certain points in the last 14 years, but I wore the hell out of them this summer and I will next summer if they aren't too big.

I have 2 blouses from Express. One is at least 5 years old, wore it yesterday. The other is about 7 years old, if not more and I STILL get complimented when I wear it. It's red, never faded, never wrinkles... and I laugh because it's so old and has been washed 239084230943098534985 times.

I think I win. I have a pair of hiking boots in my closet that I've worn when camping - although last time I went was a few years ago. They're from sleepaway camp in 1985.

I have a summer dress that I am in LOVE with and nothing else fits me like this dress.
I get compliments on it all the time.
I got it in 2007
I still wear it every summer to work- it's in my work rotation so I wear it several times a summer.

I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago so I got rid of pretty much all my clothes and had to buy new ones. The only thing I kept were sweatshirts from college so those are about 5 or 6 years old now.

I have a rain coat from 1999 that I still wear. I also have two pairs of work pants from 2005 that I wear. They look brand new.

I have a J.Crew fall jacket that I've worn every year, in between seasons, since 1997!
And the best part... it was on a super clearance price AND I've worn it 3475695003750 times Great "cost per wear"

I have several pairs of dress pants from Banana Republic that are older than my 8 year old son. They still look new!
ETA: I also have a pair of sweatpants from SUNY Binghamton that I bought when I was visiting a friend there in 1990!

I still have some pieces from high school days (1991-92).  Otherwise, some of my button downs/flannels from the early to mid 90s (Ralph Lauren.) Ohh and t-shirts & polos from college days ranging from 1990-1996. Actually, I have a lot of rowing stuff from the mid-90s that I wear regularly.
A number of my jeans are 7+ years old.

A number of my seven jeans that I wear constantly are from 2004!!! They don't make them like they used to!!! I'm in constant fear the knees are going to rip! Two kids later they are still the most flattering jeans I own!!!

I have a number of items from gap and banana from when I worked for the company (I left in 2006)
I have sweaters from different kohls lines that are still in great condition after a few seasons
I have work pants from target that are in good condition after 2 years
