if you exclusively pumped....
DD is 5 months (3.5 months adjusted) I exclusively pump do to problems in the nicu. I currently pump 5 times a day at about 5 ounces total each pumping. I barely make enough for what she eats
Anyway my questions to those that exclusively pumped are:
1)After you started food did DC eat less breastmilk? how much?
2)Were you ever able to cut your # of pumping sessions? how many?
3)How much milk did you pump?

I have been pumping for 13 months. My twins are 11 months adjusted.
I will do my best to answer all of your questions.
When they started solids I think we dropped a feeding. We were using the rest of the frozen nicu milk before this time, because I was not making enough for them.
After they started solids the pressure was off a little. I also started taking more supplements and was able to freeze a little.
I'm still pumping 6 times a day. The last time I tried to drop one I had a hit of 8 oz and making less then they were eating.
How much milk do I make? I was up to 45oz a day for a while now a good day is 30 oz

Yes, My Ped said to drop him to 16-20 oz at 8 months. at 6 months I still had him drinking 24 oz of BM

I recently dropped to 4 sessions from 5. I have taken a huge loss. I just make it every day.
3)How much milk did you pump?
The first session in the morning I make 7 oz, and then 4 each additional pump so 19 oz-20oz which is exactly what he takes a day.
I give 4oz in the morning, 3oz lunch, 3oz snack, 4 oz dinner and 6oz before bed.

Thanks ladies! I'm just trying to figure out timing of pumping. I know people say they get more milk at wake up but i don't.
What time do you girls pump?
I pump at 5/6am, 10am, 3pm, 7pm and midnight.
Between all that she still wakes to eat 2 times between 12 and 5am.
I am so tired, This is hard!
