Short Luteal Phase

Does anyone have experience with a short LP and IVF? I am partially convinced my short LP was the cause of my failed fresh cycle. Somehow AF made it right through the progesterone only 4dp5dt. I know progesterone is the main solution and the dr did test my level and said it was well into the normal range thanks to the IM shots, but researching online I see a lot of ppl with short LPs who had similar experiences ie: spotting a few days aftr transfer. I start my frozen cycle meds 2mrw and have a sit down consult w the dr this wk where I will address the same q...but am trying to gather as much info n questions to bring to the table as possible. Any insight is appreciated! TIA

I have a short LP and spotted through PIO during IVF even though my prog levels were high. My RE basically said I would not have spotted if the cycle had worked but since the IVF failed my body was just trying to start AF. When I did eventually get pg it was from an IUI with no prog supplementation and my body just worked.

I wouldn't worry. As long as your RE is monitoring you they will know if your prog level is high enough to sustain as pregnancy. Plus, plenty of women get pg with really low prog and don't even start the supplements until much later.

Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your story! I have a bunch of qs for the dr tomorrow but I surmise his input will be similar to your RE. Starting meds tonight for FET...here's hoping!
