Soft Serve ice cream?
Have any of you read or been told that you shouldn't have this while pregnant due to possible bacteria? My dreams have just been crushed! My doctor didn't mention it, but I also didn't ask so I'm not sure! Thoughts?

Soft Serve ice cream?
I heard it is because of possible listeria so I didn't have any while pregnant. Hardest 9 months ever, especially since it was so hot this summer.

My dr told me not to eat it. It has been a longggg 7 months so far without Red Mango  I used to eat it like twice a week

Same here. I craved it a lot this summer and had it 2-3 times and twirls and swirls 2 times. Ice cream trucks are probably worse culprits than stores because stores tend to be cleaner. And I was fine. I think it's ok if you eat it from a clean place that is relatively busy

Soft Serve ice cream?
I asked my doctor about it when someone mentioned it in a post a while back and she laughed at me  She said I could make myself crazy if I wanted to but to just stick with the original list she gave me (no sushi, cold cuts, raw/undercooked meats, unpasteurized cheeses, alcohol and to moderate my caffeine intake).

Honesty, I think sometimes the list of things people don't want you to have while pregnant is just out of hand........and unnecessary. I am 37 and have being eating Carvel and other soft serve ice cream my whole life without incident, what is the likelihood of anything happening now? It's just a silly cause for concern IMO. That being said, I can't even tell you how much soft serve I ate when I was pregnant with my DD and I never had any issues. Eat your ice cream and enjoy!!!

I have heard about the possibility of getting listeria from soft serve. I haven't had any while I was pregnant and miss it so much. I know many women who have eaten during their pregnancy and nothing happened to them.
I just know it makes my husband feel better it I don't eat it. So I dont. I miss my red mango terrible

My dr said "why risk it?"
I believe the listeria is from the machines not being
Cleaned, not the soft serve ice cream itself! At least that was my understanding, and no, I haven't eaten it; FH won't let me!!
