Doula's
Have a question about Doula's anyone on here use one and can you recommend one in the nassau area?
I was also wondering if any knows the cost of a doula?

I hired a doula for this baby's birth. I emailed LIDA (Long Island Doula Association) with a description of the kind of person I was looking for, and several people got back to me. I made a decision from there.
Cost can run between 1100-1400 for someone with a lot of experience but students obviously will work much cheaper. Some doulas will work for a reduced fee, but you can discuss that when you interview them.

I also hired a doula and the above poster was very helpful to me too! She's right about the pricing - but from someone who didn't have a doula for my first, its worth every penny to me this time to have an advocate.
