Do you like being asked if you need help in stores?
In prefer to have someone say hello. If they ask me if I need anything once that's fine. I do not like constant asking, I just like to know someone is there if I need help.
I have been working in a retail (apparel) for many years and I have come to realize that you can clearly tell when a customer needs help and I know when to approach them and what to say. It's not hard to tell when someones not interested. If I find a customer wants to be left alone I let my co workers know that I approached them a,ready so they won't feel harassed...

It depends on the store. For example furniture stores....NO! They are annoying. MAC store...yes since I tend to forget the shade of lip gloss I always wear I have to describe it!

I agree with others. Once is ok but being stalked or having multiple people on your case is uncomfortable. I can't stand it.
Even worse...the kiosk people in the malls...UGH!!! "can i just ask you a question miss". "NOPE NO TIME NO MONEY" Lol. that has been my answer lately, lol
when they ask to ask me a question my response is "you just did" as i walk away

furniture stores are the WORST
we had a guy literally stalk us around the store once

I like being acknowledged and don't mind if I'm in Sephora and someone asks if I need help (because usually I do)...but otherwise, just say hi and disappear when I need a fitting room or a shoe in a certain size.

I feel like the problem is they are asking someone the second they walk in the door. Let me look around a little first. Ask me after 10 min or so and then I am most likely going to need help. I like to browse for a few minutes and see if I see anything that grabs me, and if not, then I am going to ask you for help.

I hate being asked... I feel like if I had a question, I'd seek out the help... Your asss just better be around when that happens... I HATE having to hunt down a salesperson.

I HATEEEEEEEEEEEE it with a passion. Esepcially when Im looking at something on the rack and a salesperson comes next to me & fixes the rack that I just touched!
