paint vent with a question
my dad used to have his own home improvement business so i asked him to paint my apt for me since it'd be cheaper than hiring anybody (i just had to pay for the paint).
DH and i can't believe what a horrible horrible job he did though. I appreciate that my dad painted, but my gosh, i wish i paid the money to get it done by a real company.
There's paint EVERYWHERE - splatters on the carpet, on the stove, counters, kitchen cabinets, etc. I don't get it - he came into the apt with a bunch of drop-cloths to cover everything so how did this even happen?!?!?! Now DH have to clean the place and get all that paint off
so now my question - what's an easy way to take paint off of things? Can i buy paint thinner and use that? I can't put that on everything though (like the wood cabinets) so what do i do there?
Thanks for listening.

If it is a laytex paint then try just scubbing it with water and soap. You cannot use a thinner on most things. Thinners were great in the day of oil based paints.
