Blood in urine?
I'm 35 weeks pg and 2 days ago I started noticing blood in my urine. I'm not really having any other symptoms except a little pressure in my abdomen, but it's hard to tell if it's just pressure from the baby. I went to my ob and she checked my cervix (closed) and said the baby is completely fine. She said it's probably a UTI and sent out a urine culture and started me on antibiotics. If the culture comes back negative she said it could be a small kidney stone passing. I'm still waiting on the results but I'm nervous as it's been 48 hours and the blood has not gone away. Anyone ever have this happen to them? TIA.

Blood in urine?
Was your doctor concerned? If not, I wouldn't be.

Re: Blood in urine?
I've had kidney stones a few times and it HURT. There was no doubt about it. And there was blood in my urine, but never enough for me to see it.
I'd just wait for your dr to get the culture back.

Re: Blood in urine?
Culture came back negative so it's not a UTI. Dr was not overly concerned- said if not a UTI then could be a small kidney stone and we could do a kidney ultrasound but didn't seem to want to rush to do it. She said if i develop bad pain in one side to call her. I've had a kidney stone before too and was in terrible pain, but apparently a small stone can cause bleeding with no pain as it passes. I hope it stops soon because having red tinged pee is a little unnerving, lol.
