How much do Real Estate Attorneys charge for a house purchase?
Can anyone share a ballpark on how much attorneys charge to handle a house purchase?
We are looking to buy a house and our REA wants us to find an attorney prior to putting in an offer.
I'm already  over the closing costs!
And any recs would also be great! We are in mid-Nassau.

I'd say the average attorney fee in my area is around $1200-$1400. But I've heard as low as $700 and as high as $2000, since attorneys set their own fee.
I would highly recommend Kristen Breglio of The Breglio Law Firm - Kristen is a vendor on this site. She is based in Garden City. I've worked with her on several real estate sales, and I have been impressed with her responsiveness and attention to detail. She is so knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain each step to her clients and walk them through the process. That is so important, especially with first time buyers. She is also very accessible and responds quickly to phone calls and emails. My clients have felt really comfortable with Kristen handling the legal end of things for them.
And I am an attorney myself, so my recommendation comes from both my perspective as a real estate agent and my own legal background!

Ours is $1,600 - but he is the most amazing and efficient lawyer, so even if he asked for more we'd probably use him.

they can range we got quotes from $800-1200
