Need green paint color for hallway
Can anyone recommend a light, but bright green paint color for a small enclosed hallway? The hallway connects the living room which is Nantucket Fog and a dining room that is Shaker Beige. I'm thinking a light mossy color would be good to brighten the area up.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Need green paint color for hallway
I have Benjamin Moore Par Four in my living room, and I believe my entryway, which opens to the living room, is Shaker Beige.
Par Four is the lightest color on the paint strip (so you could pick a slightly deeper shade) -- it's pale, but a true green. But it's not too minty. It really works as a true neutral. And my living room faces north, so it doesn't get the most natural light, and I think the paint color lightens/brightens the space.
I've gotten compliments... my neighbor who recently wanted to paint a room in her house green came over to ask what color I used for my living room.

By far, your best best advice would be using Benjamin Moore's line of paint. I recommend a self priming eggshell or flat finish since it's a hallway that would probably have high traffic. I recently painted a few hallways in the HC-115 "Georgian Green" and HC-118 "Sherwood Green" and they looked amazing making the white wood work, staircase and railings pop beautifully.
Another great idea is going to your local aboffs paint store (http://www.aboffs.com/pages/Locations.html) and looking at their color chips. After finding what appeals to you, have 1 or 2 quarts mixed in those colors and paint some spots on the wall. This will help you to actually see the color during the day, in the sun in the afternoon and at night rather then just seeing it on a chip. Paint changes with light and you want to make sure that you love the color. A quart is far less expensive then getting a few gallons of custom mixed paint then realizing your don't like the color after you've bought them.
We've found the lighter greens go well with all beige's since they're all earth tone colors.
Good Luck and have fun! www.madiaspainting.com
