when did everyone go to their first Dr. appointment?
When I first called my Dr with my BFP the receptionist said she wanted all people to come in ASAP. I then had to reschedule and the 2nd woman said, it should be 8-10 weeks! That seems a really long time to wait! So I am not sure when I should reschedule.

I went in at 6 weeks but I thought I was 8 weeks pregnant. They basically couldn't tell me very much at all. We saw the fetal pole and we saw a heartbeat, but they didn't want to give me a due date or anything and then I had to come back two weeks later as a result. I'd say 8 weeks is a good time to go.

I was under the care of an RE initially, but my first OB appt was at 8w. They won't see you before that unless you want to just confirm pregnancy with blood work only.

My first official prenatal appt wasn't until 8 weeks 2 days; but I ended up being seen at 6w2d for spotting.

i went in at 6 weeks, 3 days but i think most doctors prefer you to go around 8 weeks.

I was seeing a RE so I had an early sono at 6 weeks but I didn't see my OB until 9 weeks.

I was released from my RE to my OB at 8 weeks, but since I was away my first appt at my OB wasn't until 9 weeks.

My ob makes everyone wait until between 8-9 weeks. It was torture waiting so long but already the baby had a strong heartbeat and was moving all around.

My office wants to see you around 8 weeks. Because my cycle is long, and they go by your LMP, mine was in reality 2 weeks too soon, so we did not see a heartbeat initially, which was nerve-wracking. When we went back a week later, it was there. Longest week of my life. So, sooner is NOT necessarily better!

I was 7w3d. They thought I was 8 weeks because of the first day of my last period. They couldn't see anything at my doctors office and had to send me out to a place that had more high tech equipment and we saw a blip and saw/heard the heartbeat.
Waiting until that point was torture but I am glad I didn't go earlier when they may not have been able to see anything...

I originally was scheduled for 7 weeks, but they had to reschedule me due to an emergency c section. So I ended up going at 8 weeks.

exactly.....whats funny is i just posted the other day how my obgyn usually schedules like this but when i called them for an appt the receptionist gave me like a 6wk appt instead....when i questioned it being a bit too early for my liking she defended it saying it was only a few days early.....which i hung up and it didnt sit right with me so i called back the next day and i got a different receptionist and she agreed that who i spoke to should have made it a later appt so she changed it....so now im going exactly 8 weeks from my LMP....1st appt is November 7th
