Middle name humor, but DH is serious
OK, so i was not going to share this story cause I know some will not find it funny and appreciate it. But it's just another reason I love Dh, he is a funny guy! So here goes....
Sooooo... I love the name Carter and we are 98% sure that will be Carter. DH really likes the name alot, he tried for a couple others but in the end said ok and always adds "if we give him the middle name Danger" yes, you read that correctly!
For years he has said this, he thinks it would be awesome for him to say "Danger is my middle name". I think its hilarious, if it was someone else, I would love it! I am actually on the fence (I know, shocking that I would even consider saying ok!). But he is so serious and wants it so bad. He makes a valid point that no one really uses or pays attention to their middle name. I actually feel bad saying no to him cause he is so easy going about everything.
I can just imagine my family's faces when the open the birth announcement.

I still think this is hilarious... but like you said only because my husband isn't the one suggesting it 
Randy still maintains he thinks it's cool (and then still wants to give me a hard time about stupid initials!!)

My brothers name is alexander and my parent used t.g. for middle name but it stand for the great...no one ever believes him and they call me to verify but it is always funny to hear...I think a funny middle name is cool...def a good convo piece when he gets older

I think it is hilarious and you should totally say yes to him! The only reason I can see not doing it is if you had a sentimental middle name picked out but if not DO IT! Your kid is going to be the coolest kid on the block!

I love it but I also think middle names are fairly worthless. (I personally hate my own; it means nothing to me, I never use it, and when I got married, I basically got rid of it.) To make a middle name that means something is awesome! Even if its "meaning" is just to make you smile.

There was a contestant on Master Chef this season who had a son with a FIRST name Danger. Yup I couldn't believe it.
I think its funny. Don't know if I would actually do it but a middle name, unless it really flows with the first nobody uses it. I would probably  when I saw the announcement or heard it but would also laugh.

Lol there was a little boy in my daughters preschool class on year and that was just middle name....his mother told me she always wanted to so that if she had a boy so he could say that

In my profession it is very very common to use middle names and so no, I would not make a joke type middle name.

i think its hilarious because its not something my DH would ever suggest. but while i think its funny, i wouldn't do that to my child. while a middle name is not something that is used every day, it is used and i wouldn't want to have my child grow up with that

Agreed. It's funny as a joke, but a name is not a joke.

I'd tell DH if he wants to turn a name into a joke, he should legally change his own middle name to Danger. No way would I be naming my son that!
