Silly question- aspiration
DD had her 6 month shots today. Before bed I took her temp and it was 100. She was cranky and uncomfortable so we gave her some Tylenol. She hates medicine! She made herself throw up as we got the last bit in. DH was holding her and she vomited what looked like all her formula. He freaked and held her down and I lifted her. It was all over her face and up her nose and all. So how would I know if any went into her lungs? Should I be worried? We sucked out her nose a little and she sounded a little congested from it. Am I overreacting?

What do you mean he held her down? Which direction was she facing?
I wouldnt necessarily worry per se. I would watch her. If she gets more congested, has trouble or labored breathing, and starts spiking temp then go to doctor.
I know it's rough, but DH needs to keep his cool when they are so little and they vomit. Stomach acid is one of the worst things one can aspirate.

Well he was holding her on her back in the cradling position and his automatic reaction wasn't to hold her up. It was to keep the vomit contained. So it was just all over her face. I lifted her when I saw it happen but his reaction wasn't like a mommy reaction at all that would make her feel it was ok.
