What to wash?

I just want to wash what I'm going to use in the first few weeks but what if they're in the NICU for a while? Should I wait? Maybe I should give stuff to my mom to hold onto and throw in the washing machine once I'm in the hospital with the babies?

Heres what I think I should wash first:

a few newborn and/or premie sized onesies
a few newborn sized side snap shirts
a few sleep sacks/sleep & plays
a few nightgowns
changing pad cover
sheets
RNP cover??
car seat cover??

TIA

even if they are in the NICU you are usually welcome and encouraged to bring stuff for them, so i would still wash everything on your list. i dont think i washed the RNP or car seat cover at all but that's just me. especially in the NICU its nice to bring blankets and sheets to make it nicer for them and less sterile. since i hadn't even had my shower yet when DD was born and I was team green i literally had NOTHING for her. a week and half or so in i was able to go out and buy her some preemie clothes. it cant hurt to be prepared for either scenario.

Re: What to wash?

I didnt wash rnp or car seat covers. We washed all the nb clothes and some 0-3 onesies we have for them, crib and pnp sheets, burp clothes, bibs, towels, washclothes, receiving blankets, other blankets, changing pad covers, boppy covers, mittens, socks, etc. So basically everything we will need the first few weeks.
