Due date came and went
... and I'm still pregnant My doctor doesn't want to induce for another week and a half. I know I could still go into labor but OMG! I can't even think of that. And BTDT moms to offer words of encouragement?

I didn't have to get induced for my DS but The people that i have know to get induced tended to have a more difficult labor ... so try walking a lot and other things like spicy foods and all other old wives tales to try and get you to go into labor with out being induced

enjoy the last few days of peace and quiet (i know how hard it is ... i was overdue with my son and felt like you) but everything is about to change. Go out to dinners, sleep late, pamper yourself - soak it all up! 
LO really will be here before you know it!

Hard to do, but I agree with this! I was not scheduled to be induced until 2 weeks late. It was a long wait and I thought she'd never get here but those boring days of waiting around are long gone! In the long run, I went into labor on my own the night before my induction and am so glad I got the chance to go naturally. If I had been induced a few days earlier I would have missed that shot.

I was induced a week passed my due date. I did everything to try to get labor to start early and it doesn't work. My doctor did encourage lots of  more than anything else. I do agree take this time for yourself. Get a mani/pedi, shoulder massage, nice dinner with DH, etc.

remember that everyone is different. I was due 7/26 and nothing was happening. My dr said he would induce on 8/3. I was totally cool w/that b/c I wasnt "ready"  as if you ever are to be a Mommy. I guess you could say I had last min nerves. Well my fluid dropped and he induced me on 7/31 and my amazing DS was born on 8/1. It just took 27 hrs to get me fully dilated. My labor was basically painless. I did have an epi, pushed for 10 min and DS was born.
again, everyone is different so although its good advice to try natural ways of going into labor, pls dont think you are def going to have a difficult time just b/c you get induced. Good luck!!!!!

Crashing - BDTD.  My induction was scheduled for 8 days past my due date, but about 12 hours before I was set to leave for the hospital, my water broke. I gave birth early the next morning.

I went into labor 5 days past my due date and a few days before a scheduled induction. It was a long week!! But just remember every extra day your LO is in there they get stronger!
Just think any day now you will get to meet your baby!!! Hang in there!!
