Advice with biting?
Hi Ladies, In the past two days my 10 month old has taken to biting. This came out of no where, which I guess is normal but usually sweet baby girl has earned the name "The Shark" and I need to stop her before she has anymore victims! So far I've been told to bite her back ( i dont think i could do thAt), and stern no's and remove her from situation. I'm more partial to saying no and removing her from the situation but just wanted to get some advice from other moms to see if its just a phase and what has worked that you've tried. Thanks for the advice!

Re: Advice with biting?
Ugh I could have written this.
DS was kicked out of an in home daycare last week for biting 2 little kids in 2 days. Hes is only 13 months and is cutting molars. His mouth hurts bad. After the first bite I sent him in with teethers and infomation my doctor faxed over on what to do. Well that next day he bit again and we were asked not to return (talk about heartbreaking).
The info my Doctor gave me was to say very sternly "WE DO NOT BITE!" and put him in time out (or away from the situation) for 1 minute. Everyone and their mother told me to bite back (which my dr strongly advised against) but I just cant. I dont see the logic in it. I wouldnt hit him back if he hit me so why bite back? KWIM?
He hasnt bit since but if he tries, this will be our approach.
Good luck! Its just a phase that usually starts with teething.
