Totally broken hearted about my Tahari Suede Boots
My cat has ruined them. I need to replace.
They were tall, black, suede, 3 inch heels, black sole which is very cool. Rounded toe with a slight platform.
They were a steal at the time but I haven't found anything I like as much.
Can you please help me find something to replace them with?
I'm willing to spend about $200.
Thank you!

Have you brought them to a shoe maker? A good one can work miracles depending on how bad the damage is. It's worth trying!

I fear the worst. It's the smell not a stain or tear.

I'd bring them and see. The worse thing that can happen is he/she can't do anything...

Re: Totally broken hearted about my Tahari Suede Boots
One boot is toxic. I once took an area rug to the dry cleaner to get the smell out and they yes'd me to death that they could indeed get the smell out and they lied. I had to throw it out.
Nature's miracle does not work.
Believe me, these boots are now garbage. Cat pee is indestructable on fabric.

Re: Totally broken hearted about my Tahari Suede Boots
My shoemaker was able to get out the cat pee smell from leather. Not sure if it's worth it to you to try, he charged me $80 and told me he would not guarantee that he could get the smell out. It was a success so it was worth it to me, but depends on how you feel about the boots, because it may be a waste of the money if he's not successful. http://portjefferson.patch.com/listings/the-leather-mechanic-at-lennys-shoe-repair
If you want new ones, I have been eyeing these and they sound kinda like what you're looking for http://www.zappos.com/fitzwell-kyoti
They're black although don't look it in the pic

Try Woolite Oxy Stain Pet Remover
Woolite Pet Stain Remover
I swear this thing worked WONDERS on cat pee. Doesn't hurt to try and it's only $4 at Walmart.

Re: Totally broken hearted about my Tahari Suede Boots
One of my cats peed on my DD sneakers and I haven't been able to get the smell out yet. I didn't think of trying pet odor remover, believe it or not. Suede is tough though since you can't really get it wet.
