Queso Fresco
I've craving "bunuelos" for a while now. For people that don't know what they are, bunuelos are Colombian, they are made with a small curd white cheese and formed into doughy balls then fried golden brown. I know they have some queso fresco mixed in, and I wasn't sure if it's safe to eat, I do know they're fried, so maybe that makes it safe??? Does anybody know about this?

Re: Queso Fresco
i don't know specifically about this product, but check to see if it says pasteurized on the packaging of the cheese (most cheeses made in this country are made from pasteurized milk so they would be fine), also my doctor told me if the cheese was heated it would be fine.
