Maternity Clothes Help

I am due 4/9, so I will be pregnant alllllllll winter. I'm 13 weeks now and I can still wear a lot of my regular pants and all of my regular shirts. I just recently bought two pairs of maternity pants which I'm adding into the rotation (and loving how comfortable they are).

I noticed that GAP/ON are having a 35% off sale so I was thinking of getting some maternity items but I really want to buy things that I'll be able to wear in the near future, like in November. From the pictures online it looks like a lot of stuff would require a big bump to fill it out. I guess my question is, am I likely to have a real serious bump around 17 and 18 weeks along? Right now I have no visible bump in my clothes (although I can definitely tell my stomach looks different when I don't have clothes on). I'm in the awkward in between phase and I can tell a lot of my regular stuff is going to stop fitting real soon!

I had a bump at 17/18 weeks but I'm not sure it was a serious bump lol (if you look at my album I have all my weekly bump pics!)- I was wearing maternity shirts. They are stretchy so they grow with you! Buy some now and they will still fit.

Everyone is different, but the chances are slim that you'll have a "serious" baby bump at 17 or 18 weeks. You might be showing, but you'd likely still be small - especially if this is your first child.

A lot of maternity clothes are meant to grow as you do - particularly the shirts with the rucshing on the sides. If you want to go for more empire waisted shirts, they'll likely be too big in the beginning or too small at the end. It's just impossible to predict what your body will look like through your entire pregnancy.

I'd say buy a few pieces earlier and plan on adding as your body shape changes.

I am 14 weeks and have a huge pregnant stomach. I am so surprised that other women don't even show until 18 weeks. My breasts also tripled in size, so I guess it is just my body. I bought the most amazing maternity jeans at old navy. Amazing! They are super skinny rockstar jeans. They are a size 6, which is what I was before pregnancy, so I don't think I got fat. It's def the baby!
