Water Breaking

With DD, my water broke in my bathroom at home.... it was a convenient place. I'm convinced that if my water breaks on its own this time around, it won't be as convenient.... LOL

For those whose water broke.... Where were you? Did anyone's water break in public - how did you handle it? Also, how on earth do you clean up the mess?

i know this probably sounds like a stupid question, but I'm really stressing over it!

im a ftm so i dont have any answer for you, but i will say that im already stressing over it!!! I plan to work until the end (which of course may not happen) but if it does my biggest fear is my water breaking in my office!!!

i would love to hear from btdt moms to put me at ease too

My sister's water broke at a restaurant with her first. She stood partially up to reach for the bread basket and pop... there is went all over the chair. They just left, went home, got her bag and went to the hospital. She was actually sent home and told to return in the morning (or sooner if contractions started) cause she was not dilated and not having contractions. It made for a good story.. .but really, it was not such a big deal

p.s. most of the time people's water's break at home at night, over night or in the morning, cause they say it happens when the body is relaxed. Also... I have heard that only like 10% of women's water break on their own.... don't worry too much

Mine broke 4am in bed. I felt a little gush, got up to go to bathroom and check..and the rest of the waters came rushing out..

I was sitting at my computer at like 1am , got up and felt like i was peeing myself. I pulled down my underwear and saw a thin stream of water flowing out. I had excessive amnio fluid so at the hospital every time i had a contraction, it would gush out. Then i was in a wheelchair in the hospital hallway and i had the biggest burst of water , it overflowed over the wheelchair in a huge puddle on the floor, that felt pretty odd They claimed i had multiple bags of waters, no idea how.

Mine broke at 12:30 am in bed. I felt a pop and it woke me up so i decided to go pee. When I stood up it gushed and then more when I got to the toilet.

mine broke at 10pm at home in bed I jumped out so quick and ran into the bathroom DH didn't know what the hell happened!! LOL

My water broke on the table in labor and delivery I kept feeling gushes and kept telling the nurse to check... She had to keep changing the wee wee pad no shame here! Shame goes out the window way before this point

I was on the table waiting for a sono at one day shy of 38 weeks!
