A little freaked out
Don't know why I did it, but took another pregnancy test today and the line is a bit lighter then it had been. Do you think this means anything? I am about 5 1/2 weeks, going to the doctor on the 11th for my first check up. I still feel all the same symptoms I've been feeling.....

i wouldn't worry too much - especially if you're feeling the symptoms still. if you are worried, you can always take another test (but wait a day or so)

at 5.5w, step away from the sticks.
they are not diagnostic.
if you are truly concerned, call your dr for bloodwork or an early sono. i would wait on the sono until at least 6w so you have a chance at seeing a HB. good luck!

stop testing!!! i know its hard, but wait til you see your doctor. at this point there is nothing you can do one way or another. i was paranoid until my 7 week appt...i tried and tried to convince my dr to see me earlier but to no avail...they stick to their 7 week appt rule unless you have had previous miscarriages, or were receiving fertility treatments etc.
it may just be more faint bc your urine was diluted

Thanks for the reassurance! I think I may be reading the test wrong - its a first response. Its possible that the pregnancy one is way darker then the control. Anyone know which line is the control and which is the test?

The line on the right is the control line. The left line is the test line.
But I agree with the OPs...step away from the sticks. You can't measure how pregnant you are. As long as you're not bleeding or cramping, then everything should be progressing as it should be.

if you are 5.5w the test line should be much darker than the control. its not a problem if its not. but make sure you are reading the test correctly before stressing over it.

honestly i wouldnt worry depending on what time you test and how concentrated your urine is the shade can be different. You can actually drink too much and dilute the hcg hormone. Just hang in there. Once you see the doc, you will feel better.
