Trigger Shot
So it seems I have been using the OPKs wrong. Using them first thing in the morning, when it should bet later on for the LH surge. Long story short, if I don't get my smiley by Sunday night, I go in for Trigger on Monday.
My question is, what if I actually DID ovulate, just missed it because I was testing wrong (Stupid ass) and I go in for the shot thinking I didn't ovulate?
I know the obvious answer is I won't ovulate again and I may have missed it this cycle, but will it actually HURT me to get it?

Are you using the smiley opk's cause with those you can you can use fmu and it says it on the box... It shouldn't hurt you to get it... You could request them to take blood to see if you did ovulate and then if you didn't take the shot.

Yes, I'm using Smiley OPKs and I thought I read FMU is fine, but the more I look online, the more I see later in the day is better. Plus I messed up this AM. I was half asleep and didn't notice an error message on the stick before I did it and wasted my FMU. Next time I use a cup so I don't waste it.
So Now I'm waiting a few hours and will re-test. Just hoping I didn't miss it

i wouldnt really be concerned with what pee you use. its really not a big deal. i use OPKs randomly (not methodically but i have a pretty good idea of when i ovulate) but ive gotten +s with FMU and without, its really not that stringent. there is probably not that much chance that you missed your surge solely because you were using FMU.
however im reallllly not a fan of Dr's trusting people to use OPKs. my Dr actually said OPKs aren't a perfect science and they really can be wrong quite often - either by user error or just imperfection of the test itself. i would stress to your Dr that you want bloodwork and sono to confirm where you are in your cycle. unless your Dr has an in-house lab they wont be able to give you blood results immediately so youd have to do bloodwork in the morning and administer the trigger whenever the doctor gets the bloodwork back.
honestly, i wouldn't trust doing a trigger shot shot based on OPK alone since that isn't really enough evidence of where your follicles are at size wise. you need both bloodwork and sono to make the trigger effective because OPKs wont tell you any information other than you have elevated LH. its an assumption that the follicles are mature when you surge but that might not actually be the case, it is VERY important that you are monitored properly - otherwise you might be wasting your time and money on meds and appointments.

They have been giving me sonos and blood work every 3 days. He said he wanted me to test with OPK through this weekend and if no  by CD20 h was gonna Trigger. Makes sense.
I re-tested at 10:30 and got my . I knew it should have been this morning but that stupid stick had an error in it.
Once you get the it's  every day for 3 or 4 days - right? Nurse told me on Thursday when I was there and I forgot. I just know its ON!!!
We are already Every other day and tonight would be "back On" so we are on track.
Oh Pleaseeeeeee let this work
